Dr Joseph Dayan


Dr Joseph Dayan is a plastic surgeon and Co-Director of the Lymphatic Surgery & Research Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is also Director of the Facial Nerve Program and specialises in microsurgery for breast reconstruction, lymphoedema, and facial reanimation. Dr Dayan graduated from the University of Vermont School of Medicine in 2002, completed his plastic surgery training at Georgetown, and went on to spend a year at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan for his microsurgery fellowship.

His contributions include developing new and safer techniques to treat lymphoedema, advancing lymphatic imaging technology, increasing the indications for breast conservation using free tissue transfer, and development of new techniques to improve outcomes in facial reanimation in patients with cancer.
