
I am a Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic, Laser Surgery and Burns at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, UK. I am a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Imperial College School of Medicine and the former Chair of the BAPRAS Burns Special Interest and Advisory Group. I Chair the National Burns Emergency, Preparedness, Resilience and Response Group. I previously held the posts of Lead Clinician of the Burns Unit, Chair of the London and South East Burns Network, Education Chair of the British Burns Association and member of the National BBA Executive. I was a fellow in Adult and Pediatric Burns and Adult and Pediatric Burns Intensive care at the Shriners Hospital for Burned Children in Galveston, Texas, USA. I practice in all aspects of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
My main interest and subspecialty is Burns Surgery, the Plastic Surgery management of difficult and complex burns, scars, wounds and any conditions with extensive skin loss. I am a long time user of Laser Technology for scar management and skin resurfacing.
I am a long time user of Laser Technology for scar management and skin resurfacing. I collaborate in multiple department research products directed into wound healing, methods of early detection of infection in burn injuries and delivery of drugs via biomaterials into burn wounds.
I teach and publish regularly on all aspects of Burns management and Burns reconstruction.
