Rogier Trompert earned his Master’s degree in Scientific Illustration at Maastricht University in 1999, the same year he founded Rogier Trompert Medical Art.

Since then, he has collaborated with medical specialists, pharmaceutical companies, universities, museums, scientific journals, and publishers. For over 25 years, he has taught at the Master Scientific Illustration program (Maastricht University and Zuyd University), becoming program director in 2011.

Active in the European Association of Medical Illustrators (AEIMS) since 1994, he currently serves on its Board of Governors. Trompert: “Anatomy, in both humans and animals, is the most beautiful art ever created—a privilege to study and illustrate.”
