Dr Al-Zyoud is a medically trained anatomist specialising in clinical, surgical, and reconstructive anatomy. His academic work explores anatomical variation and its influence on surgical outcomes, with ongoing research in ligament reconstruction and sex-specific anatomy.

Alongside his teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he contributes to anatomy education for medical, dental, and surgical trainees. He is particularly interested in bridging anatomical science with surgical planning and innovation.

Through both research and education, he supports multidisciplinary approaches that enhance anatomical understanding across reconstructive, orthopaedic, and aesthetic surgical fields. He is a member of the Anatomical Society.
