Dr. Aris Sterodimas serves as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School & as Visiting Professor at the University of California Irvine. He is a board-certified Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon and currently is the Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens, Greece. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in medical education, research, and the training of future surgeons.

Professor Sterodimas has completed his postgraduate surgical training in the United Kingdom and has earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Surgery through research at Imperial College London's St Mary's Hospital. He obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and holds the Associate of the Royal College of Science (ARCS) qualification in the United Kingdom. His specialist training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery included appointments at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Bristol Royal Infirmary, and Oxford University Hospitals in the United Kingdom. He then underwent postgraduate training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Ivo Pitanguy Institute in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Dr. Sterodimas' research interests focus on plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, adipose-derived stem cells and regenerative medicine, fat grafting, wound healing, face, breast & body contouring, and innovative surgical techniques. He has authored 80 peer-reviewed scientific publications, 28 textbook chapters and educational materials, and continues to contribute to advancing evidence-based practice and innovation in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
