Roy de Vita MD, Consultant in Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, is since 2002 the Chief of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of the National Cancer Institute “Regina Elena” of Rome and he is also Coordinator of the Breast Unit at same Institute.

Since november 2025 is the President of the Italian College of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (Icopras) His main field of clinical and scientific interest are both reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, an area in which is widely published books and papers.

In his Dept. are performed more than 700 breast surgical reconstructive procedures/year. The majority of them are immediate pre-pec implant based breast reconstruction but also more than 150 microsurgical flaps a year are performed. In private practice he does more than 200 breast augmentation/mastopexy/reduction every year and 50% of these procedures are for revisional surgery.

For more than 20 years he’s a KOL for the most important companies who work beside Plastic Surgery, helping them in developing and improving their products. He is involved in educational programs worldwide acting Live surgical demonstrations, organizing international meetings and instructional courses and giving lectures about breast surgery subject in the most important meetings all around the world.
